the KKITM Christmas party – it’s a whole new experience for me being the sober one when everyone else is drunkity drunk drunk – i love Spike but i’m looking forward to the day when i can have a nice tall vodka tonic! it was fun though and i have some good blackmail pictures that i can’t post … yet.

went to see Juno alone – i love to go the movies alone – particularly because i don’t like to be talked to during the movie – and i don’t like to share my popcorn – i really liked Juno though – it’s a cute movie and it’s not the typical “i can see that coming a mile away”ending – definitely a must see!

the floors are finally done and almost all of the furniture delivered – we’re still waiting on the dining room table because one of the support beams was broken – turns out they have to send out a “repair technician” to come assess the damage before they can replace it – that will take 2 freaking weeks – needless to say that the pregnant woman was not happy – especially when they sent out a replacement leg for the coffee table that was chipped without any drama – so they’re coming tomorrow to look at the table – if they tell me it’s going to take another 2 weeks to get the table top, the PG woman is going to lose it!!! Kelley and i are fighting over the chaise lounge – when we bought the furniture, he was all “are you sure you want the chaise – are you really going to use it” – and now i can’t keep him off of it – every time i walk into the living room – he’s on my chaise!! he’s a chaise stealer!

i actually ventured to the mall the weekend after Christmas – i have no idea why – i waited in line at Bath and Body Works for 20 minutes to spend $15 – and i spent 20 minutes in Victoria Secret only to find that i am not the only woman with a backside the size of Texas – there were no pairs of large underwear to be had – what’s up with that? back when i was wearing a small in underpants, they didn’t have that either – i think it’s a conspiracy – doesn’t Vicky’s know that i love underpants?? geesh.

after all the remodeling was done, i finally got around to putting up the Christmas tree – of course it didn’t happen til Christmas Eve – better late than never, right? i know a lot of people purposely wait til Christmas Eve, but i’m usually a weekend of Thanksgiving girl – it went by so fast – now i have to take my tree down today – the house didn’t quite throw up Christmas this year but at least there was something

i made Christmas cookies – not as many as we usually make, but i made a few – my specialty is pralines – the problem is that Kelley keeps eating them – and i have to keep making more because Kelley keeps eating all of them – Kelley says he keeps eating them because i keep making them – it’s a vicious cycle – i’m debating making one more batch – maybe i’ll make them and hide them from him – why does my husband think it’s okay to eat the pregnant lady’s food?

i attempted several times to make raspberry jello mold (which i make every year) and pumpkin bread (which i just got the recipe for) – every day i would get up and set the ingredients out on the counter – and every afternoon i would put them away because i knew it wasn’t going to happen – i did finally get around to making both … about a week after Christmas

cool Christmas presents i got – Kelley gave a GPS system because i am notorious for calling people while i’m in the car and saying “can you look up XYZ on the internet and tell me how to get there – i hate when i don’ t know where i’m going!! i got some sweet purple suede boots and a cool coffee mug that plugs into your car and keeps your coffee warm – oh how i miss my daily coffee! plus my sister gave me a cool purple purse – i love purses!!

we took maternity pics last week – these were the ones with me and Kelley – Kelley totally makes me laugh because we’ve been discussing this for over almost a month – i’d totally given him all the details and we discussed several times what we would wear and what to bring (baby accessories to take pictures with) – i MIGHT have neglected to mention that Kelley might have to take his short off – i didn’t think it was that big of a deal- especially since Kelley has a pretty nice upper body – it’s not like they were porn star pics or anything – but with me in a bandeau top or a sports bra, it made sense that he would be shirtless – my husband aka Mr. Vanity had 2 issues with this – 1. it was cold in the studio (REALLY cold on a concrete floor) and 2. Kelley said if i had given him more notice he might have eaten a little better and worked out a little more – WHAT?? as big fat pregnant as i am, Kelley has gained NO sympathy weight – none – yeah, he sucks! anyway, here are a few teasers – i’m going to blow up the black and white one and hang it over Spike’s crib

another OB appointment – no progress or weight gain and i tested negative for Strep B – WOO HOO – no IV for me! other than that, i’m holding steady and my OB thinks we’ve got plenty time before Spike arrives – good thing because Kelley has 2 quick business trips scheduled – i’m a little nervous about going into labor while Kelley is gone even though my OB has assured me it will be a few weeks – i told Kelley he better be having some serious conversations with Spike about staying put – because if he misses the birth of this baby, he will pay for it for the next 50 years – nothing about that can be good!

so i am completely into the new Snoop Dogg show (Fatherhood on E!) and i thought it would be great if i could get Kelley to start calling me Boss Lady like Snoop calls his wife – yeah, he’s not really going for it – he said he refuses to perpetuate the myth that lives in my head – i wonder what that means …
