About Me
After winning the Kidd’s Krib contest, Dianthe hung around to answer phones and add her random pop culture knowledge to the show. As the only phone screener “Psycho” Shanon hasn’t run off, she’s made her presence well known. She answers phones for the show from 6-10am and spends the other 20 hours of the day as a wedding and event planner! Check her out at www.thewedparty.com.

Dianthe I am looking to get married in February, late February. Small, intimate wedding. Cheap. It’s my second wedding and I want to put something small together. I don’t want to go to the JOP if I can avoid it but between money and time I may have to. I would love to get your opinion, advice, references…whatever! I’m not sure if you do small weddings or not so I just thought I would check with you. The website doesn’t work and I wasn’t sure how else to reach out to you with my question. I hope this is okay.

Hey Dianthe-
just wanted to give you an idea for a girl name. We named our daughter Genesis. It means the beginging and we thought it was apropriate since she was the beging of our life together as parents being our first child. Plus not very many kids have that name. Love your blogs! liz

Hey Dianthe,
I love to read your blog, especially about “Spike”. When my daughter would say “Mommy I want this” I would tell her “Well I want a million dollars but I’m not getting it” and give her a look and she’ll kind of get the idea that she’s not getting whatever she wants.
As for the heartburn, well at least you haven’t had it from day one like me (I’m in my 32nd week). I don’t really take anything for it, just at night I’ll pop in a few tums before bed sometimes. I just let it run its course and suffer during the day–I just do a lot of deep breathing in & out when it feels really bad.

Hey Dianthe -
Always read your blogs - you’re so entertaining.
Just wondering if you have checked overstock.com for cribs - I just bought a bed from there and noticed they have a lot of cribs!

Hey Dianthe,
I just recently began reading your blogs, I too am pregnant, 17 weeks w/ my third, and enjoy reading about you and Spike, you’re hilarious. I too can relate w/ the boob itching. It’s especially embarrassing when your in a small cubicle and everyone can see you! But I can’t stop, they itch so bad, & drive me crazy! I think I read somewhere that it’s b/c of the boob growth, and the skin will itch b/c of all the stretching, just the same as when your stomach itches. Awww pregnancy, such a beautiful thing isn’t it?…….

You complain more than any one person I can think of. You should go back and read all of your blogs. You are SO negative!! I feel so sorry for your husband - you must be a JOY to live with. Lighten UP lady!! I had quit reading your blog because you bitched EVERY DAY about the phone calls. It’s your JOB!!! I tried to go back because I am truly happy for you that you are pregnant and wanted to see how you were progressing but I can’t do it, I will just have to hope for the best as I can NOT read your blog. Have you ever heard of Debby Downer? Well you are Dianthe Downer.

I’ll love you forever if you let more of the ’special’ callers slip through.
It provokes awesome discussion and comedy!

Dianthe,
You CANNOT leave! If it is you, I will be so incredibly sad. You are my favorite person on the show (even though you rarely get to be on the air!). I will gladly lose anyone else, as long as you don’t go! I read your blog daily, and it really makes my day happier. I am really praying that it is not you!

Good luck…
I just KNEW it was you leaving, even before any of the letters were written. I was so wrong…and I’m glad it’s not you. Congrats on your pregnancy. And I have an idea for a name! TRISTAN!! It’s my husband’s favorite name, and since you seem to like T names, I think it’s adorable and perfect. (and much, much better than Trajen! That’s terrible…

Love your blog! I’ve been a listener for years but moved to TN about 3 years ago and now I rely on the web to keep up with the KKIM show. You are and Kelly are my favorites! Anyway, congrats on your pregnancy (and marriage to Mr. Wonderful!!). I just had my second baby and was investigating ways to keep her clean & dry without killing the earth or taxing our landfills. I know you are going with cloth diapers, but have you ever heard of Gdiapers? A friend just send me their link and I’m going to order some. I’ve never commented before but felt compelled to share this idea with you. It’s a neat concept and they look really cute. Might be a nice alternative to or suppliment for your cloth diapers, plus it’s a way to keep “Spike” fashion foward like “momma”!
Congrats again - you will love mommyhood!!

Dianthe, your blogs are the best! I was induced. When the doctor broke my water, I will not lie, it hurt. It hurt so bad I asked the doctor if I had the baby already. It felt like with the gush so fierce, the baby should’ve flowed out with it but she didn’t. I’d do it again though. Have fun with Spike and post lots and lots of pictures.

It’s about time (smile) !!!!!! I have been checking this site 20 times a day, just waiting for these pictures and to know you were ok. Sydney Jane - LOVE IT !!!! I’m so happy for you all. My only baby girl is 19 years old and I don’t know where the time went. Enjoy every single minute. Best to you all and God Bless You!

I just got caught reading your blog–I’ve been out of commission since I had my daughter in Dec. And I just want to say CONGRATULATIONS on your baby Sydney. She is adorable. I’m sure you are more tired than anything in the world but when you look at your daughter and watch her sleep you say/think to yourself “It was all worth it”. Your 1st family photo is very lovely. Enjoy every moment and every day of each other.

Dianthe, you have a beautiful baby girl and nothing is more wonderful than becoming a mother. I have a 18 year old daughter and a 15 year old son. Before you know it Sydney will be that age and you will wonder where the time went. Congradulations to you and your husband. May God bless you and your family.

Good morning Mrs Dianthe>
You have a good looking baby. I know you will be a great mom to him. Your husband is a very lucky man.
Up date on the other young man. The young man now is now 9 years of age. He played basketball this year. They came in second place for their age group.
